Helping and encouraging others has always been my passion. For 35 years, I taught in public schools, and I’m also a licensed minister. Working with children and families has brought me so much joy, and I’ve always dreamed of creating a place where kids can feel safe, inspired, and loved.

When my husband and I found out that our local school district would no longer offer an after-school program, we knew we wanted to help. So we decided to buy a building and start one ourselves — a place where kids could keep learning, have fun, and feel cared for every single day.

That’s how The Encouraging Learning Center began.

At our center, we help students grow not only academically, but also emotionally and spiritually. We believe every child deserves a place where they’re encouraged, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

My husband and I are both passionate about giving back to our community, and we’re so excited to welcome your family into ours.
